What is CDAT's approach to this work?
Our approach to increasing community college completion rates is to work closely with community colleges. We help them analyze their own data in order to pinpoint when and where schools are losing students, and then identify strategies to address those student loss points.
The Preventing Loss, Creating Momentum Framework further illustrates this approach to increasing community college completion rates for low-income students under the age of 26. The Framework outlines the student experience from their first connection with college to their college completion. The Framework identifies the major points where colleges often lose students and the strategies that create momentum towards student completion. Click here for more information on the Framework.
